READ MOREMeet Emily King
“Originally I was a plumber. I moved into installing ASHP four years ago, upskilling to install and service heat pumps. I’ve always been a practical person and I love problem-solving – it really is rewarding. It’s also nice speaking to customers and sorting out their issues. I’d love to have more female colleagues. Heat pumps are the future and the need for skilled engineers is only going to increase. Engineering is a fantastic career, particularly if you like problem-solving. Everyone has been very supportive, and they have encouraged me to develop my skills. It is also fantastic to be part of the drive to achieving net zero."
Emily is our Service Engineer at Daikin UK.
Finding Their Place: New Employees Share Their Impressions of Daikin
Meet Enrique Peralta
“Being part of the Internal Audit team at Daikin has been a great experience. Each audit brings new challenges which are easier to face when you know you can count on your team for support. My assignments have given me the opportunity to meet people from all over the company and learn from them. I am still amazed by how international our office is - colleagues from all over the world, from very different backgrounds, working together on a common goal: that is remarkably impressive. For those looking to further develop their professional career in a company that is leader in its field, while working with a team proud of its professional commitment - look no further: Daikin is the place to be.”
Enrique is a senior member of the DENV Internal Audit Department working as a Mentor- Internal Auditor in Brussels Office which he joined in early 2017. His team is responsible for the independent assessment of the control, governance and risk management process of the company. This role has given him the chance to visit many of the 20+ affiliates the company has all over the EMEA region. Enrique is a Certified Public Accountant, originally from Argentina, that has specialized in internal audit and risk management.
In his free time, Enrique enjoys hiking and no weekend goes by without him going cycling with his friends which, according to him, is the best way to discover the city and nearby towns.

Legacy Builders: Stories from Daikin's Veteran Employees
Meet Lise De Schacht
“I love the fact that working for Daikin means exploring and expanding your own capabilities, day by day. Since my first day here I have learned a lot and have been able to take up more responsibilities. Next to that, the variety of projects and the international character of Daikin are a big plus for me. During the three years I’m working for Daikin I have already seen so many places and have met so many interesting people. Last but not least, the feeling of belonging to the Daikin family means a lot to me. Without a doubt, I’m having the best colleagues in the world."
Lise is working as a Marketing Officer in Daikin Europe HQ in the Marketing department, located in Ostend, Belgium.
She is responsible for the internet, social media and lead management strategy of Daikin Europe and its affiliates. She detects trends in the digital landscape, tracks down the needs of our customers and defines actions to fulfil them.
Lise is 28 years old and graduated in Marketing Communication at the university of Ghent. In her free time she likes to grab a bite, see a movie or enjoy a concert.
Meet Valerie Coghe
“As a graduate, the business world might seem a bit overwhelming since there are so many options. Me personally, I did not have any experience in the workplace and I didn’t know what role would fit me best. Hence why I chose for the traineeship which Daikin offers. As a trainee, I’m able to get a taste of different departments and connect with many people along the way. Everyday I’m gaining more insight in the company itself and I feel like I’m growing both professionally and personally. I would definitely recommend doing a traineeship if you’re young and eager to explore!”
Valerie is working as an International Trainee in Daikin Europe HQ.
