Introducing Callum Redpath: Product Specialist

Meet Callum Redpath, an experienced Product Specialist who joined Daikin in Weybridge. With a background in technical sales and branch management, Callum brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. He enjoys a work-life balance and indulges in various hobbies, including music festivals and sports.

I started as a Technical Sales Advisor back in 2018.
I have to give a shout-out to my manager, Matteo, who has been fantastic in ensuring that I get all the knowledge, contacts and experience required.
Daikin is forward-thinking in all aspects, particularly work and work/life balance.

My experience in the industry

I started in this industry at Wolseley Pipe and Climate Kings Cross as a Technical Sales Advisor back in 2018. After two years I became branch manager of Kings Cross during the height of the pandemic. The following year (2021), I left Wolseley to be a branch manager at Dean & Wood Greenford.

What is it like stepping into a new role?

It has been a steep learning curve, moving from distribution of a different brand of AC/Fridge - to the manufacturing side of the industry. I am loving it so far!

What are your first impressions of Daikin?

Everyone has gone out of their way to make this transition as smooth as possible. From setting up computers and desks to learning products and more about my role. The team I work with has helped so much. I have to give a shout-out to my manager, Matteo Dall’Ombra who has been fantastic in ensuring that I get all the knowledge, contacts and experience required to fulfill my role.

What would you say to someone who was considering applying for a job at Daikin?

I highly recommend it. The company is forward-thinking in all aspects, particularly work and work/life balance. It is a high-performing company, and it is easy to see why.

How do you spend your weekends?

I spend my weekends going to music festivals, barbecuing, playing hockey, sailing, kayaking, cycling, going to air shows, watching Motorsport and horse racing.
