Introducing Kita Amos: Customer Contact Centre Team Lead

Meet Kita Amos, the Customer Contact Centre Team Lead at Daikin's B2C Customer Service Centre in Birmingham. With a background in sales and customer service, Kita's first week was delightful, feeling welcomed and supported. Daikin offers a caring, inclusive environment with ample opportunities for growth.

The company has a very supportive and inclusive feel, taking away any first week nerves very quickly.
It’s exciting and there is scope and a future. Everyone wants you to succeed.
I’m a theatre buff, so I go to a lot of amateur as well as professional productions.

What is your industry experience?

I have a sales and customer service background obtained in a variety of companies with Recruitment, Health & Safety and Utility. Prior to joining Daikin, I was Customer Services Team Manager for Eon. I worked within a contact centre managing a team who booked SMART meter installations, then setting up and embedding the EV and Solar Customer Service teams and processes.

What was your first week at Daikin like?

I have to say my first week was amazing. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. There were no hold-ups in obtaining my equipment and getting online, which can be the most tedious thing when joining a new organisation. The company has a very supportive and inclusive feel, taking away any first week nerves very quickly.

What are your first impressions of Daikin?

The company cares about making the working day comfortable and provides caring and thoughtful gestures – such as fresh fruit, pastries and even items that take allergies into account. I have met several people over teams and it’s amazing how supportive my new colleagues have been.

What would you say to someone who was considering applying for a job at Daikin?

Even at this early stage, I would say go for it! If you have the skills and mindset that Daikin is looking for, take up the opportunity. It’s exciting and there is scope and a future. Everyone wants you to succeed.

How do you spend your weekends?

I’m a theatre buff, so I go to a lot of amateur dramatic productions as well as professional productions. I catch up with friends when I can.
